New Video: “Big Mouth” by Santigold
Why didn’t I know Santigold had new music until now? We haven’t heard much from Santigold since she dropped her self-titled debut album in 2008. I am glad she’s back. I remember in late 2007 when I discovered her and M.I.A., I think that is all I listened to back then lol.
I found this to be quite interesting and an observation I would have never approached. It made me think about what’s going on in the world today. The attempt of punishing the lower and even middle-class citizen that make up this nation. Jay-Z, of course, has nothing to worry about. So can we really say he’s a bad person for profiting this movement through merchandise? The people who swarm the streets every night would most likely be disgusted to hear such news. But don’t this be a surprise to your eyes either. Look around you. Capitalism.

Dr. Cornel West and Raheem Devaughn were arrested Sunday shortly after attending the dedication of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, along with over a dozen OccupyDC protesters on the steps of the Supreme Court, according to TheYBF.com.
The demonstration was one of several taking place around the world to protest against corporate influence on politics and its effects on the economy.
Shortly after his arrest, Raheem’s staff posted this message on Twitter:
Raheem is in jail for protesting along side Dr. Cornel West downtown. We expect him to get out soon. -Dave (staff)
Sources close to Dr. West posted a similar message on his Twitter saying:

The people arrested were charged with trespassing and are expected to be released soon.
